The new Tapinauchenius species, T subcaeruleus n. sp. , is very similar to T elenae Schmidt 1994, but differs in some peculiar features of its coloration. As in T elenae the receptacula seminis terminate in some ovoid structures instead of a knob as in other species of this genus.
